News
The planting season begins in mid February every year with our greenhouses being filled with young new product. As the plants begin to grow and develop they will be planted and transplanted until they are ready to ship to our wholesale customers or ready to offer to our retail customers.
English Country Gardens opens to the public every Spring by participating in the Annual Plant-Affair-On-The-Square held in Hiawassee in April. This season was no different as we enjoyed a very busy day reconnecting with many of our past customers and meeting new customers.
Eggplants, tumblin tom (red and yellow) tomatoes, peppers (bell, sweet banana, red carmen, cheyene), and more are ready for the container grower. Don't let limited space or lack of experience stop you from enjoying fresh veggies!
Enjoy fresh Herbs by making your selection at English Country Gardens. For your convenience we will offer our Herbs in a pack offering six different Herbs designed to ensure that you have what you need for your kitchen garden.
Gardening in containers is the perfect way to garden in small spaces even on a patio or balcony. Have you ever raised your tomatoes only to have them burst open and become useless after a hard rain? Container gardening allows you to control the amount of rainfall your container receives and lets you gain more control! We believe this is an excellent way to begin to learn the art of gardening or to return to gardening when you have limited space.
